AUBURN – Auburn Suburban Little League will host the 9-10 Girls’ State Softball Tournament starting today at Sweetser Field.
The opening ceremonies, scheduled for noon, will follow the first game between Calais and Cape Elizabeth at 9:30 a.m. A welcome barbecue will be held for all team personnel.
Two more games are on tap today in the round-robin tourney – Camden-Rockport vs. Auburn Suburban at 2 p.m. and Herman vs. Wells/Ogunquit at 4:30 p.m.
The tournament runs through Thursday, Aug. 2.
