LEWISTON – Festival FrancoFun will have beans galore this year.

The kitchen crew is preparing to have more than enough for everyone. They guarantee they will have some to spare.

The supper will take place from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 4, at the Androscoggin Bank Colisee, Birch Street.

Tickets are on sale at the Franco-American Heritage Center and at the Colisee. The price of $6 includes beans, hot dogs, coleslaw, pickled beets, bologna, rolls and butter, dessert and beverage.

Preparing the beans are Martine Gagne, Wita Jalbert and Roger Breton, former owner of Jake and Andy’s Donut Shop and bean baker for many years.

Everyone is invited to attend the supper, where there may be beans to sell after the event or beans served with the breakfast on Sunday morning.
