LEWISTON – Women, Work, and Community is offering a free workshop for anyone interested in starting a business. The workshop will be held from 9 a.m.-12 noon Aug. 15, at the USM Lewiston/Auburn College, 51-55 Westminster St.

Attendees will receive information about the pros and cons of owning a business, how to get started, elements of a business plan, introduction to resources available in Androscoggin County, and help in deciding whether self employment is the right choice. Pre-registration is required.
