AUBURN – The Great Falls Outlaws earned their fifth straight victory in the Central Maine Senior Men’s Baseball League Sunday, an 18-5 rout of the Topsham Knights at Pettengill Park.

Craig Farrington led the offensive blitz, cracking 5 of the Outlaws 23 hits, including a double. He drove in 7 runs. Val Beaudet and Randy Marcum each contributed 4 hits, including a 2-bagger. Beaudet knocked in 3 runs and Marcum 2. Marcum played errorless defense at short. Adding to the attack was Scott Berube with a triple and single. He scored 3 runs. Rod Bates, Chris Reed and Rich Ozment all socked 2 safeties. Derek Lamb and Jimmy Carter were repeat hitters for the Knights. Randy Ridley had a hit and scored twice.

The Outlaws have now won 6 of their last 7 to increase their record to 8-4. They will take on defending league champ West Paris Friday at Harrison’s Field of Dreams.
