Friday and Saturday, Sept. 28-29, Frontier Rodeo Company will bring the Professional Bull Riders back to the Androscoggin Bank Colisee.

The Professional Bull Riders understand the hazards of strapping themselves to bulls, but they are lured by the chance to win part of a $20,000 payday. Points earned at the PBR Lewiston Invitational count toward the PBR qualifier standings that determine which athletes will compete at the 2007 Professional Bull Riders Tour Finals in Las Vega.

Last year’s event sold out and Colisee General Manager Jason Blumenfeld hopes the Professional Bull Riders Lewiston Invitational will become an annual event.

Once again, the country’s top bull man, Jerry Nelson – owner of the 2006 PBR World Finals Champion Bull, Scene of the Crash – will bring the world’s toughest bulls to buck at the PBR Lewiston Invitational. Scene of the Crash is co-owned by one of America’s top comedians, Ron White.

Nelson’s Frontier Rodeo Company was also honored as one of the top livestock contractors in the country at the 2006 PBR World Finals.

All-time Bull Fighting Champion Rob Smets will serve as master of ceremonies. Smets is regarded as the pre-eminent analyst of bull riding and served as the color analyst of Professional Bull Riders national television programming.

“The Androscoggin Bank Colisee is thrilled to welcome the Frontier Rodeo Company back for this exciting event. Our expectations are high that this will be just as successful as last year,” said Blumenfeld.

The PBR invitational will begin at 7:30 p.m. each night. Ticket prices are $30-$15. All children’s tickets (age 2-12) are $11. Service and facility fees may apply to ticket prices.
