LEWISTON – 20-M Club (3) upset BT Pallet Dawgs (1) 17-4 to advance to the championship game in the Lewiston Rec Men’s National League playoffs. Derek Ouellette and Mike Conicilli both went 4-4, each swatting a homer. Other repeat hitters were Rob Bernier, Mike Thibault and Ross Nadeau.

20-M awaits the survivor of the losers’ bracket for the championship game to be played Friday at 6:00 at Randall-1. The “if” game is set for Monday.

In other action this week, Gipper’s (2) eliminated Schemengee’s-Little Joe’s (5), and Gridiron (4) ousted Carlton Club (6). Gipper’s and Gridiron were to meet Wednesday, with the winner taking on Pallet Friday at 6:00 at Randall-1 in the semifinal contest.

Auburn Co-Rec League

AUBURN – Double-elimination playoffs begin Sunday in the Auburn Co-Rec Softball League. They will continue on Sunday, August 26 when a champion will be crowned.

S&D Sheet Metal Sharks rallied for 5 runs in the last of the 7th to post a first round victory over Uncle Andy’s. Jeff Dionne’s 2-out clutch hit capped the rally. Nic Marr, Rodney Mercier, Jeff Dionne and Rick Fecteau were repeat hitters for the Sharks, Marr scoring 4 runs.
