Two area golfers shot a hole-in-one in weekend play. Keith Patterson registered an ace on Saturday while competing in the Maine State Golf Association tourney at Springbrook Golf Club at Leeds. He aced the #2 hole. Playing partners were Randy Sawyer and Peter Romano.

Veteran Golfer Mike Tibbetts notched his fourth career hole-in-one Sunday at his home course, Wilson Lake Country Club at Wilton. He used an 8-iron on the 140-yard #7 hole. Witnessing the feat were Dee LeClerc and Peter Benson.
