AUBURN – Players are needed for the The L-A Senior Hockey League. Final registration will be held on Sunday, Sept. 9 from 6-9 p.m. at the Pond House at Pettengill Park. The sign-up session is for returning players and new ones.

Matt Bourassa, league spokesman, said the first registration session 2 weeks ago was disappointing and many more players are needed.

Registration is for both the Competitive and Recreational Divisions. Age limit is 18 and over, 18 prior to October 1.

There are special rules. The Competitive Division allows a full slap shot and no checking. The Recreational Division does not allow slap shots and checking is not allowed.

The league entry fee is $340 per player.

The Recreational Division will start on Friday, Oct. 12, with games played mostly on Friday nights starting at 7:30 p.m.

The Competitive Division will begin on Sunday, Oct. 7, with contests beginning at 6:15. Most of the games will be played on Sundays.
