Between Friday, Sept. 7 at 7 a.m. and Wednesday, Sept. 12 at 7 a.m. the department responded to 613 calls for service. Of those calls, 172 of them were motor vehicle stops.

Criminal Mischief

A vehicle parked outside of 86 Nichols St. had a large dent in the lower driver’s side door that occurred between 10 p.m. on Sept. 9 and 9 a.m. on Sept. 10.

A mailbox at 511 Pond Road was struck by a car that left a rearview mirror behind overnight Sept. 7-8.

A window to Donna’s Daycare was broken out overnight Sept. 8-9.

An entry door to an apartment at 146 Pierce St. was damaged in an attempt to gain entry between Sept. 6-8. The apartment was vacant at the time.

A rock was thrown through the window of a vehicle parked at 155 Lincoln St. overnight Sept. 8-9.

The building at 191 Lisbon St. was tagged with graffiti overnight Sept. 7-8.

The Southern Gateway Parking Garage was tagged with graffiti overnight Sept. 10-11.

Burglary

A storage unit at 51 College St. was burglarized sometime between Sept. 10-12, the door was unlocked at the time. A pair of snow shoes, two pairs of cross-country skis, and ski boots were stolen.

Motor Vehicle Burglaries

A laptop computer was stolen from a vehicle parked at 200 Main St. prior to 11:40 a.m. on Sept. 7.

Sometime between 9:30 p.m. on Sept. 6 and 2 a.m. on Sept. 7, two vehicles were burglarized at 36 Androscoggin Ave. A Sirius satellite radio was stolen.

Motor Vehicle Thefts

Sometime overnight Sept. 8-9 a vehicle was stolen from outside of 137 Pine St. A key was broken off in the ignition and the doors were unsecured. Shortly after the APB was given for the car, it was located parked on Seventh Street in Auburn.

A vehicle parked at 153 Sabattus St. was stolen overnight Sept. 7-8. The vehicle had been stopped in Auburn on Sept. 8 at 1:09 a.m. in front of Gritty’s and the juvenile operator was arrested for OUI, OAS, and MV Theft.

Burglary Arrests

At 6:04 a.m. on Sept. 8, officers responded to 131 Horton St. for a reported burglary-in-progress. The caller was reporting that two white males had entered his apartment and stolen his safe. A description was given to the officers, and a suspect was located and detained. Forest Farnum, 21, who fit the description of one of the suspects, was placed under arrest. Officers then located and detained Matthew Giguere, 19, who fit the description of the other suspect. While Giguere and Farnum were being detained, a second burglary was reported. While officers were dealing with the above burglary, attempting to locate the stolen safe, their attention was drawn to a pickup truck parked in the driveway of 130 Howe St. A witness reported seeing a white male, who at the time matched the description of Farnum, running from the scene. It was determined that the truck had been stolen in a burglary which occurred at 50 Cassell St.

Robberies

At 12:48 a.m. on Sept. 8 a citizen reported that he was attacked by four white males who had exited a black SUV, driven by a white female in the area of Park and Birch streets. The victim reported that he was struck with a beer bottle and had $200 in cash stolen. A search of the area was conducted, but the vehicle was not located.

On Sept. 9 at 11:25 p.m., officers responded to Albert’s Variety for two subjects reporting they had been robbed. They claim that a large black male approached them and asked for money for cigarettes. When they told him they had no money, he reached into their pockets and stole some cash.

Operating After Suspension Arrests

Chad Leclair, 20, was charged with operating while his license was suspended on Sept. 8 at 4:38 p.m. at 827 Lisbon St. following a routine traffic stop.

Steven Fortier, 47, was charged with operating while his license was suspended on Sept. 8 at 11:58 p.m. at Bates and Main streets following a routine traffic stop.

Patrick Jackson, 31, was charged with operating after his license was suspended, attaching false plates, driving to endanger, eluding an officer, and refusing to submit to arrest or detention on Sept. 10 at 12:14 a.m. at 20 South Ave. following a short pursuit with police officers.

Bobby Brown, 20, was charged with operating after his license was suspended and theft of a motor vehicle on Sept. 10 at 9:07 a.m. at 35 Ash St. after an officer ran the plates and they came back reporting the vehicle had been stolen from Massachusetts.

Matthew Cournoyer, 18, was charged with operating after his license was suspended on Sept. 11 at 1:05 a.m. at Sabattus and Bradley streets following a routine traffic stop.

Operating Under the Influence Arrests

Kelly Laliberte, 38, was charged with operating under the influence and using a suspended license on Sept. 9 at 6:40 a.m. at Main and Elm streets following a routine traffic stop.

Craig Dostie, 39, was charged with operating under the influence on Sept. 9 at 4:54 p.m. at 220 Randall Road after officers responded to a report of an accident in which he was one of the drivers.

Robby Brackett, 29, was charged with operating under the influence and probation violations on Sept. 9 at 8:08 p.m. at Blake and Pine streets following a routine traffic stop.
