LOVELL – The Camp Susan Curtis Arts Center at Hewnoaks will host a discussion about arts and culture in Western Maine from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 23.

The discussion will focus on the needs of artists in Western Maine and how the artists can support each other and further develop arts and culture in the area.

Those attending will also discuss how the Hewnoaks facility and staff can contribute to the arts in Western Maine. All are welcome.

The Camp Susan Curtis Arts Center at Hewnoaks is a grassroots effort between the University of Maine Foundation and Camp Susan Curtis.

This summer the arts center provided creative, fine and performing arts education tuition-free to more than 50 economically disadvantaged Maine youth. The center would like to expand its outreach to create opportunities for and partnerships between all artistic individuals in Western Maine.
