LEWISTON – The following cases were closed recently in 8th District Court:

Jonathan C. Marcotte, 24, Sabattus, operating under the influence on June 23 and violating condition of release and refusing to sign a criminal summons on July 5, found guilty on all charges, fined $500, sentenced to two days and license suspended 90 days on first charge; sentenced to 48 hours for each on second and third charges.

Randall J. Marcum, 44, Lewiston, operating while license suspended or revoked, with prior, on Sept. 25, found guilty, fined $500.

Kathy J. Marena, 43, Poland, operating while license suspended or revoked on May 17, dismissed.

Ricardo Marrero, 29, Livermore Falls, theft by receiving stolen property on Nov. 28, found guilty, fined $100.

David R. Marshall, 40, Lewiston, probation violation on an April 29 criminal threatening charge, sentenced to 119 days and probation revoked.

Joshua Evan Martel, 29, Lewiston, operating under the influence, with one prior, and operating after registration suspended on Jan. 27, and violating condition of release on July 7, found guilty on all charges, fined $700, sentenced to 96 hours, license suspended 18 months and registration suspended on first charge; fined $100 on second charge; sentenced to 48 hours on third charge.

Lucien J. Martin, 84, Lewiston, operating while license suspended or revoked on May 1, found guilty, fined $250.

Mark A. Maxheimer, 38, Auburn, operating under the influence, with prior on April 18, found guilty, fined $700, sentenced to 180 days with all but 15 days suspended, one year probation, license suspended 18 months and registration suspended.

Kirsta McElfresh, 30, Lewiston, assault on June 2, sent to jury trial.

Christopher J. McFarland, 22, Lewiston, probation violation on a Dec. 22 assault charge, sentenced to 14 days and probation partially revoked and continued.

Benjamin McGray, 20, Greene, operating after registration suspended on May 4, dismissed.

Paul A. McLean, 20, Greene, violating condition of release and unlawful possession of a scheduled drug on June 23, found guilty on first charge, sentenced to 48 hours; second charge dismissed.

James D. McNeil Jr., 27, Lewiston, theft by unauthorized taking or transfer on April 3, found guilty, sentenced to 10 days.

Gloria Medina, 34, Lewiston, operating after registration suspended on April 19, found guilty, fined $100.

Cassandra N. Mercier, 21, Turner, theft by unauthorized taking or transfer on May 25, found guilty, fined $100.

Vera P. Merrow, 45, Gardiner, operating while license suspended or revoked, with prior, and unlawful possession of a scheduled drug on April 3, filed with no cost on first charge; second charge dismissed.

Matthew M. Meservey, 21, Brunswick, violating a protective order on April 14, found guilty, sentenced to 48 hours.

James Miller, 26, Auburn, failing to comply with sex offender registration act on Oct. 22, 2006, dismissed.

Kevin S. Miller Jr., 20, Auburn, sale and use of drug paraphernalia and possession of marijuana on May 23, offense committed on both charges, fined $300 on first charge; fined $350 on second charge.

Thomas G. Miller, 33, Lisbon, operating under the influence on May 3, found guilty, fined $500, sentenced to 96 hours and license suspended 90 days.
