LEWISTON – The Grimmel’s Gas-Up Junior Giants remained undefeated in the Football League for Youth (FLY) after Sunday’s play. The Giants beat the previously-unbeaten Northeast Athletics Redskins 20-7. Ryan Bell got things started when he ran the opening kick-off for a TD. He tallied another touchdown in the third quarter. Quintarian Brown scored the final TD on a 45-yard gallop. Kyle Ullrich set the pace defensively. Standouts for the Redskins were Dante Brooks, Austin Greeley, Chad Hinkley and Sabin Lavorgna.

In the other Junior contest, Don Morin’s Photo Lions earned its first win, knocking off the Steelers 19-6. Ace Curry scored 2 touchdowns and Sheon James added the third. Blocking well for the Lions were Isaac Cote, Josh Kobel and Tyson Cote. The defense was paced by Legend Edwards, Chris Thomas, James, Curry, Bodhi McKellick, Dominick Adams and Jason Gonzalez. Playing tough for the Steelers were Tyler Marquis, Ben Bolduc, Andreas Kariotis and Stone Colby who tallied the only TD.

Senior Division

The Lisbon Getty Mart Senior Redskins ran their record to 4-0 with a 33-6 triumph over the Giants. Scoring TD’s were Stephen Hinkley (2), Kevin St. Pierre, Casey Thurlow and Derrick Peters. Shuaib Naji converted a 2-point conversion pass to Erik Wilson. Leading the offensive line was John Goulet. Pacing the defense were Thurlow, Peters, Lily Fundis and Brendan Duguay. Playing well for the Giants were Kristopher Hussey, Ricardo Juco and Mike Treadwell who scored the lone TD.

The Senior Steelers beat the Lions 22-6. Having a fine game were Devin Bilodeau, Ethan Melvin, Joey Gonzalez, Matt Hudson and Nick Perreault.
