FARMINGTON – Mrs. Garrett is a sweet little lady who enjoys the company of other animals, as well as people, said staff at the Franklin County Animal Shelter.

She gets along well with other cats. Often found near the window, she a bird-watching sunbather. Mrs. Garrett loves to run about the shelter and would love to be the center of attention, said staff.

She loves nice long head scratches and to be held.

New dogs at the shelter include a poodle mix found in Industry, pit bull mix found in Jay, collie mix found in New Portland, boxer mix found in Chesterville and brindle hound mix found in Livermore Falls.

There will be a Halloween Festival on Friday, Oct. 26, at the shelter. There will be a Spooky Walk, bobbing for apples, Buckets of Horror and story telling. Call for more information at 778-2638.
