AUBURN – Carol Mandzik has been named assistant dean of academic affairs at Central Maine Community College.

Mandzik, a native of East Meadow, Long Island, N.Y., has a master of science degree from Husson College and a bachelor’s degree in English from the University of South Florida.

She worked for 20 years in the private sector in Florida, focusing on human resource management. Mandzik worked at Husson College for eight years, where she was the director of human resources and director of international programs, and taught business and English. She worked most recently as director of international programs at the University of North Carolina at Pembroke, where she coordinated and managed faculty/student exchanges and built a successful ESL program.

Mandzik also has an extensive background in international student recruitment and immigration. She has traveled to Korea 12 times and to Japan six times, and has visited 45 of the 50 states.
