RUMFORD – Lodge Manager Lisa Arsenault and Mountain Operations Director Bob Chase have announced a work day at Black Mountain of Maine starting at 8 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 20. Lunch will be provided.
“We have a number of items left on our ‘to-do’ list before we’re ready for the ski season,” said Arsenault, “and many of the jobs are a great opportunity to get together, socialize and have some fun as well as to get the work done.”
Chase said that deck staining, building a small shed-type roof and brush clearing were three of the top items for outside work, but that there were numerous jobs to be done inside the lodge as well.
“Volunteers, now more than ever, have become the backbone of Black Mountain of Maine. It’s part of what makes the mountain as special as it is,” said Arsenault “As a nonprofit organization, we rely on this help and appreciate it more than we can say.”
