Hyssongs to appear at Bible conference

MEXICO – The Hyssongs will be the musical guests at the annual Mexico First Baptist Church Bible Conference on Friday through Sunday, Oct. 19 to 21. Services will be held nightly at 6 p.m. and at 10:35 a.m. Sunday, Oct. 21. After the Sunday morning service, there will be a luncheon in the church fellowship hall where everybody can meet the Hyssong family and talk with them.

The Hyssong family is composed of Dell and his wife, Susan, and their son, Richard, and his wife, Kelly. Dell, Susan and Richard will sing, while Dell, who also is an ordained minister, will preach every service.

The Hyssongs are a southern gospel music family who perform and travel throughout the United States and Canada. They have appeared on television and radio and are Nashville recording artists.

Dell has a master’s degree in ministry and has served as a senior pastor for more than 25 years. Susan sings alto for the trio and has studied music in Bible College. Richard, their son, sings tenor and plays the trombone. He sang in Carnegie Hall at the age of 15. In October 2005, Richard was married to Kelly Barron, who is now part of the full-time ministry.

Mexico First Baptist Church welcomes the public to any or all of the services and invites questions about the group or conference by calling 364-8712.
