Lodge meeting

CANTON – Whitney Lodge 167, AF and AM, will hold a stated meeting at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 1, for the annual inspection. It will be preceded by a casserole supper at 6:30. All Master Masons are welcome.

Pork supper

RUMFORD – A pork loin supper, cooked in coals, will be held at 5 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 10, at Blazing Star Lodge, Route 232, Rumford Corner. Menu will include pork, mashed potato, green beans, coleslaw, bread, stuffing, coffee, punch and pie.

Cost is adults, $8; under 12, $4. Takeouts will be available. There is a stair chair on the back stairs. For more information, call Joe and Faye Roy at 364-4715.

Homestart

PERU – Homestart homeschool support group will meet at 6 p.m. Monday, Nov. 5, at the United Baptist Church of Peru, 98 Main St. For more information, contact Naomi Farrar at 562-4989.

RUMFORD – The lunch menus for Rumford Elementary, Meroby and St. Athanasius-St. John schools are announced for Nov. 1 and 2. Menus are subject to change without notice.

Thursday: Pig in a blanket, baked beans, whole kernel corn, salad bar, chicken patty on a bun, peanut butter and jelly sandwich.

Friday: Turkey and cheese grinder, oven fries, salad bar, cheeseburger on a bun, peanut butter and fluff sandwich.

The menus for Mountain Valley Middle and High schools are announced. Menus are subject to change without notice.

Thursday: Make-your-own sandwich/salad bar, oven fries, pig in a blanket, baked beans, hot sandwich options, pizza choices.
