NORWAY – Doreen Taylor, RN, BSN, CDE, has been appointed as diabetes nurse educator for Stephens Memorial Hospital’s diabetes education program.

Taylor comes to SMH with six years of experience as a staff nurse, diabetes resource nurse and charge nurse. For the past 13 years she has been a home health nurse with Androscoggin Home Care and Hospice, providing care and case management while acting as diabetes nurse specialist for the agency.

She is a graduate of the Central Maine Medical Center School of Nursing and most recently from the University of Southern Maine with her bachelor of science in nursing. She is a certified diabetes educator and a member of the American Association of Diabetes Educators.
