NORWAY – The song “The Wisdom that We Gained” by Norway resident and Vietnam war veteran Al Pelletier can be heard online at www.sunjournal.com. Pelletier has been asked to perform the song during ceremonies marking the 25th anniversary of the Vietnam Veterans Memorial in Washington, D.C., next week.
Pelletier served a 30-month tour during the war with the U.S. Navy. Pelletier wrote the song in 1976 as part of his healing process, he said. A reference to the song’s availability online was inadvertently omitted from a story on Pelletier, which appeared on page A4 of Thursday’s Sun Journal.
