Homemakers

PERU – The Peru Extension Homemakers will meet at 10 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 8, at the Peru Baptist Church.

Members should bring items for the raffle stocking, their assigned soup ingredients and an item for the veterans’ package.

Quilters to meet

RUMFORD – Rumford Area Quilters will meet at 6:30 p.m. Monday, Nov. 12, at the Rumford United Methodist Chapel, Linnell Street.

A demonstration and lesson on hand quilting is planned. Members should bring needle, thread, thimble and “sandwiched” square if they wish to practice hand quilting. Suspect “B” of the mystery quilt will be given.

Quilts to be forwarded to servicemen at Walter Reed Hospital will be accepted. Include a letter or note to be attached to the quilt.
