PORTLAND – Veteran entertainer Louis Philippe spends much of his weekdays entertaining at nursing homes, assisted-living facilities, retirement communities and senior-citizen organizations. He also considers himself blessed to have talented friends who are well-known in community theater circles.
Sunday, Nov. 18, he will bring those two together with “Living Legends 4,” a musical variety show free for all ages. Last year, nearly 400 people enjoyed the show, including busloads of seniors from area health-care facilities and retirement homes.
Performing will be Kathy Ball, Gwen Basinger, Sandy Bisson Brown, Leslie Chadbourne, Stephanie Dyer, Ellen Faulkner, Father Frenchie, Janet Kelley, Arthur Ledue, The O’Brion Sisters, Kathleen Peterson, Ellen Tucker and comedienne Nancy Woodward.
Now in its fourth year, the show will be presented at 2 p.m. at McAuley Performing Arts Center, 637 Stevens Ave. Reservations are recommended and may be made by calling 857-9002.
“It’s my way of saying thanks to all the wonderful people I get to meet in my line of work,” said Philippe.
