WRONG NUMBER A man convicted of battering his 2-month-old son in the 1990s was recently charged with seven counts of sexually abusing a teenage girl. Rocky V. Crowley, 47, of 215 Bartlett St., Lewiston, was indicted on three counts of unlawful sexual touching, two counts of unlawful sexual contact and two charges of sexual abuse of a minor. Two of the charges are felonies. An earlier version of the story on the Web and in the Nov. 9 paper incorrectly reported the numbering of charges.


GLOSSARY – These legal terms are used: waived means the person charged gave up his right to appear in court; adjudicated means guilty of a civil violation; default means a person did not appear in court and the judge entered a guilty finding in the case; a finding of parole violation means a person violated a parole condition; filed means the case is to be dismissed at the end of filing period if conditions set are abided by.
