AUBURN – A small gathering was held recently for Lincoln and Sylvia Gordon of Auburn, to celebrate their 60th wedding anniversary.

Mr. Gordon and the former Sylvia Holman were married Sept. 7, 1947, in Dixfield.

Their children are Marcia Jolicoeur and husband, Richard, Deborah Heffernan and husband, Dennis, Larry Gordon and wife, Dawn, and Cathy Stevens.

Their grandchildren are Michelle Woodford and husband, Adam, Jennifer Stevens, Brian Heffernan, Kristi Gordon, Joseph Stevens, Katie Heffernan and Mathew Gordon. Great-grandchildren are Shylah Woodford, Molly Woodford and Hannah Woodford.

Mr. Gordon is a retired Edward Little High School teacher and is a member of Kora Shrine Temple and High Street Congregational Church. He is an avid hunter and fisherman.

Mrs. Gordon is a member of the High Street Congregational Church and is involved in women’s fellowship and the choir. She is also involved in local singing groups and theater.
