BANGOR (AP) – A 20-year-old Southwest Harbor man has been sentenced to three years of probation and fined $1,000 for destroying federal property at Acadia National Park with his all-terrain vehicle. Gregory Gilley was sentenced Tuesday in U.S. District Court.
Prosecutors say Gilley destroyed cement and brass light fixtures that lined the walkway to the campground’s amphitheater.
Gilley pleaded guilty in June to a felony charge of destroying property.
He was also ordered to pay $3,609 in restitution.
