Sarah Sparks of New Gloucester, far right, has been sending packages to troops in Iraq and Afghanistan over the holidays for the past three years. Hundreds of local businesses and organizations, along with local residents, have donated money and products for her 4-H Community Service Project. On Nov. 24, several dozen patriotic citizens got together at the Veterans Hall to package it all up, including Chelsea Burnham, 13, of Gorham, left, and Becka Trufant, 14, center, of Sebago.
