LEWISTON – The Just Us Entertainers will hold a nontraditional Christmas concert benefiting the Franco-American Veterans’ Post 31 on Saturday at Lewiston Middle School on Central Avenue. Donations are $8.
Doors open at 6 p.m. and the concert starts at 7. Tickets are available from Franco American Veterans and Just Us members. Call Bert Dutil at 786-2304; Nel Meservier at 784-2061 or Norm Laplante at 375-4006.
Just Us Entertainers was organized in 1999 and was the first group to perform at the Franco-American Heritage Center in a fundraiser for the Festival De Joie. The group has also performed for cancer survivors groups, the Liberty Festival, veterans’ events and Veterans Day celebrations.
The group consists of about 20 members, ranging in age from 30 to 83-plus, as well as some part-time teenage guest performers. All music is performed live. The group’s goal is to keep alive good music that people remember.
