LEWISTON – The YWCA of Central Maine will begin registering swimmers for the Winter II swim lesson session on Monday, Dec. 10, for YWCA members and Monday, Dec. 17, for the public.
Lessons are offered Monday through Thursday mornings, afternoons and evenings and Saturday mornings. Classes are available for all abilities and ages, 6 months to adults. The Classes may be a half hour or an hour long, depending on level.
Classes, which will begin on Wednesday, Jan. 2, are six to seven weeks in duration. The cost is $63.50 for seven weeks and $58 for six weeks. Participants must be members of the YWCA.
Basic membership is good for a year and allows members to participate in YWCA programs on a pay-as-you-go basis. Basic membership fees are child up to 12, $30; youth ages 13 to 17, $35; adult ages 18 to 59, $55; senior citizen, age 60+, $45. Private swim lessons are available by appointment. The cost is $25 a half-hour session. Participants must be members of the YWCA. To book private swim lessons, call the YWCA.
