The Lewiston Ice Dawgs Middle School hockey team dropped a pair of games in the Southern Maine Tier I league.

The Ice Dawgs fought to the wire before losing 4-3 to Falmouth. Dakota Keene had two goals and an assist, Kyle Lemelin one goal and one assist, Devon Beland two assists and Patrick DeBlois one assist. Matt Bouchard and Brendan Landry also played big roles. Evan Bourassa and Zach Roy shared time in goal.

Yarmouth then beat Lewiston 6-1. Keene scored on assists from Lemelin and Beland. Key players were Jenna Bosse, Robbie Berube and Stefan Valley. Bourassa and Brian Wigrant were the goalies.

Results from Cornucopia Cup in New Hampshire:

Game 1: Loss to Amesbury 5-0

Game 2: Loss to CSB Hawks, 4-1. Jed Drapeau scored lone goal.

Game 3: Beat Salem 6-3. Lewiston pulled away with three goals in third period. Jacob Charest scored two goals and had an assist. Other scorers: Trevor Lachance, Evan Emerson, Jed Drapeau, Kyle Morin. Assists: Richard Cooper, Luc Dostie, Jonathan Sturgis. Goalies: Sam Zashut and Kyle Welsh shared time in net.

Earlier, Lewiston faced Auburn and played to a 5-5 tie. Lachance scored a pair of goals and Charest had a goal and an assist. Other scorers: Kyle Ullrich, Cody Woodward. Assists: Kiana Melvin, Sturgis, Dostie (2). Zashut was the goalie.
