Chapter Christmas

MECHANIC FALLS – Dwinal Chapter 28, Order of the Eastern Star, will meet at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 12, at the Masonic Hall, 474 South Main St.

The chapter will celebrate Christmas and members are asked to bring an ornament to exchange. They are also collecting items for the worthy grand matron’s project, “love bags,” to be given to abused women shelters across the state.

The meeting will be preceded by a 6:30 p.m. supper. All members are invited.

Grange program

AUBURN – Members of Danville Junction Grange 65 will meet at 7 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 13, at the hall. A Christmas program with Norma Rice Gould at the piano will be presented by the lecturer. There will be a Christmas card swap. Refreshments will be served at the close of the meeting.

Members are reminded to bring a wrapped gift, marked for age and gender, for the Salvation Army. All members and guests are welcome.

Christmas party

LEWISTON – Members of Twin City Council 160, United Commercial Travelers of America, will meet at 5 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 15, at Marco’s Restaurant for the annual Christmas party. Members are asked to bring a gift marked as to gender for the gift exchange. All members and guests are welcome.

Food collection

WALES – The Wales Food Pantry is collecting nonperishable food at the Wales Town Office in time for Christmas. Donations can be brought to the town office from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesdays, from 6 to 9 p.m. Wednesdays or 3 to 6 p.m. Thursdays.
