Thomas Lee Briggs, 18, of Main Street in Dixfield on charges of criminal mischief and unauthorized use of property on Dec. 6 on Main Street. A 17-year-old Dixfield boy and a 15-year-old Canton boy also face charges of criminal mischief and unauthorized use of property.
The charges stem from a vehicle theft from a Coburn Avenue residence on Nov. 16. Dixfield Police Chief Richard Pickett said the 1997 Chevrolet Malibu was found Nov. 17 on Winter Hill Road with its windows shattered, the hood dented and the grill kicked in, resulting in about $1,000 in damage.
Briggs is scheduled to appear in 11th District Court, Northern Oxford Division, on March 4. The two juveniles are scheduled to appear in juvenile court March 6.
Burglary
Someone broke into an apartment on High Street on Dec. 4, damaging the door, ransacking the apartment and taking rent money. Police have a suspect.
Accident
Thomas F. Knight, 16, of Canton Point Road in Dixfield struck a deer as he was driving his parents’ 2005 Dodge Caravan on the Canton Point Road. The vehicle sustained no damage. The deer was not found.
