FARMINGTON – This handsome man came to the Franklin County Animal Shelter as a skinny little stray, said staff. With just a few square meals and some TLC, he literally went from rags to riches, they said.

His coat, once dull and brittle, is now sleek and shining. His once-sad eyes are now full of life and sparkle. He has really come into his own.

The shelter will host a rabies and vaccine clinic from noon to 2 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 16. Rabies vaccines will be $8, and the veterinarian will be willing to do other vaccinations

The shelter will also host “Black Friday” on Friday, Dec. 21. All black cats/kittens will be free. Those interested will still have to complete the application process, but the adoption fee will be waived. For more information, call the above number.
