AUBURN – The Central Maine Community College Education Foundation is conducting its annual fund drive to provide scholarship assistance for students.
The foundation, which is “committed to the support of CM and its students,” has contributed more than $600,000 to the college for scholarships, program improvements and capital projects.
The foundation is governed by a volunteer board of directors comprised of prominent business and community leaders. The foundation board also serves as the college’s executive advisory council, providing a forum for matters that have a broad impact on the college.
Board members will help host the Androscoggin Chamber Business after Hours, which will be held on campus on Thursday, Jan. 24, 2008. The board has also announced that it will hold its first annual dinner in April. The event will honor achievements by students, faculty, staff, alumni and supporters.
Anyone interested in supporting the annual fund or in sponsorship or other information about the annual dinner is asked to contact Roger Philippon at 755-5357 or [email protected].
