RUMFORD – SeniorsPlus will hold free Medicare D (prescription drug plan) review appointments for area Medicare recipients on Thursday, Dec. 20, at the Rumford Public Library.

Those wishing to make an appointment should call the SeniorsPlus dining site in Rumford at 364-3572. The event is being held during the period of “open enrollment” that runs through the end of December, when people with Medicare D plans can review and change their plans.

The SeniorsPlus Medicare advisers will meet one-on-one with those interested, and they ask that people bring their current plan information and a list of their medications with dosages. There is no charge for the appointment.

SeniorsPlus is the area agency on aging for Androscoggin, Franklin and Oxford counties and serves more than 3,000 older adults and adults with disabilities each year with information, assistance and connection to community services, public education and services such as Meals on Wheels, dining sites, caregiver support services and Medicare assistance.
