LEWISTON – The Lewiston Junior Maineiacs Squirt Travel team avenged an early-season loss to the Berlin (N.H.) Sabres with a 5-1 victory at Androscoggin Bank Colisee.
Lewiston broke open an outstanding, back-and-forth game with three unanswered goals in the third period. Luc Dostie led the charge with a goal and an assist. Trevor Lachance, Reid Pomerleau, Evan Emerson and Jacob Charest also lit the lamp for the Jr. Maineiacs. Assists went to Ryley Austin, Jed Drapeau and Ben Steele.
In another recent confrontation, Lewiston dropped a 4-2 decision to Midcoast. Dostie and Cody Woodward each scored a goal for the Jr. Maineiacs. Austin and Charest logged assists. Sam Zashut was the netminder in both games for Lewiston.
