WELD – Keeping with the tradition of the Christmas Eve Candlelight Service, the Weld Congregation Church has invited all to a community candlelight service at 7 p.m. Christmas Eve, Monday, Dec. 24.

Anyone who can play an instrument is welcome to provide music during the service, since members have been unable to find a pianist or organist for worship services.

Those interested in singing in the choir should call Gail Cleary at 585-2776 or Pat Blanchard at 585-2819. Anyone wishing to bring a poinsettia in memory of a loved one may drop it off Sunday or Monday, Dec. 23 or 24, at the church, and those wishing to have the dedication in the bulletin should call Chris at 585-2306 no later than 3 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 22.

The stained glass window in the sanctuary behind the pulpit has been restored due to Mark Smith and June Vining. It had been painted over on the outside years ago and the pair delicately removed the paint.

The Sunday after Christmas the congregation will switch the Sunday service to the parsonage until Palm Sunday.
