RUMFORD – Ed and Kathy Carey of Rumford are announcing the engagement of their daughter, Amanda Carey, to Airman Justin Packard of Fort Gordon, Ga., son of Bel Packard and Larry Snowman of Dixfield.
Miss Carey is a 2006 graduate of Mountain Valley High School and is a sophomore at the University of Maine at Augusta, working toward a degree in teaching.
Airman Packard is a 2007 graduate of Dirigo High School and is serving in the U.S. Air Force.
A spring wedding is planned.
