The Pine Needles Quilters of Norway-Paris presented Methyl Belanger of Norway, foster mother of 79 children, 19 quilts, which were later distributed to children, age 3 or younger, by the Adoptive and Foster Families Association of the tri-county area. The foster children’s quilt program of the Pine Needles Quilters, known as the Florence Whitman Memorial Foster Children’s Quilt Project, has been a tradition for 15 years.
