BANGOR (AP) – State police say a 17-year-old high school student was killed when struck by a car on Interstate 95 in Bangor as he tried to retrieve something that had fallen from his pickup truck.
Matthew Osborne, a student at Hampden Academy, was pronounced dead on arrival at Eastern Maine Medical Center.
A portion of the highway was closed for several hours following the Monday evening accident.
