BANGOR – The Junior Maineiacs Squirt White team won a pair of games Saturday in Bangor. In the opener, the Maineiacs overcame a 3-1 deficit with four unanswered goals in the third period for a 5-3 victory over Bangor Black. Liam Benson netted two goals and chipped in with an assist. Robert Chabot, Owen McCarthy and Corinne Laberge netted the other goals. Assists went to Alex Morgan, Andrew Loisel, McCarthy and Laberge, while Chris Miller had two assists.

The Maineiacs later coasted to a 7-0 victory over Bangor Red. Laberge registered a hat trick in the victory and also added an assist. McCarthy scored twice, while Chabot and Benson also scored. Chipping in with assists were Steven Hammerton, Chabot, Benson (two), Loisel, Zach Guimond and Morgan. Jody Cabral, Jacob Wall, Morgan and Hammerton were outstanding on defense in both games. Nick Hawk backstopped both victories.

The White team’s record now stands at 10-2-2.
