AUGUSTA – The Concerts at Jewett Series, put on by the University of Maine at Augusta College of Arts and Humanities and UMA Senior College, will present the “Family Folk Festival: The Gawlers and the Boardmans” Sunday, Jan. 27.

The well-known musical families will join forces to present a concert of Down East, Celtic and Quebecois folk music filled with guitar and banjo picking, fiddling and singing. John and Ellen Gawler and their daughters have delighted Maine audiences for many years. Greg Boardman, founder of Maine Fiddle Camp, will be joined by his sons.

The concert will begin at 2 p.m. at Jewett Hall Auditorium. (snow date Feb. 1, at 7:30 p.m.).

Tickets are $10 for adults/$5 for students. Children 12 and younger admitted free. Tickets are available at Pat’s Pizza in Augusta, Apple Valley Books in Winthrop, Al Corey Music Center in Waterville, and at the door.
