GLOSSARY

These legal terms are used: waived means the person charged gave up his right to appear in court; adjudicated means guilty of a civil violation; default means a person did not appear in court and the judge entered a guilty finding in the case; a finding of parole violation means a person violated a parole condition; filed means the case is to be dismissed at the end of filing period if conditions set are abided by. Court documents no longer reflect a person’s plea or their street addresses. The dates in the log are the dates of the original charge.

11th District, Rumford

RUMFORD – The following cases were closed recently in 11th District Court:

Joyce A. Batchelder, 59, Skowhegan, assault and obstructing the report of a crime on June 9, both charges dismissed.

Phillip A. Benner, 56, Carthage, failure to register a vehicle on June 2, found guilty, fined $50.

Wesley E. Bowen, 49, Kents Hill, importing spirits into Maine on June 4, offense committed, fined $100.

Debra L. Boyd, 51, Peru, protective order from harassment violation on June 24, 2006, dismissed.

Meaghan L. Brown, 21, Rumford, allowing a minor to possess or consume liquor on Feb. 16, found guilty, fined $500.

Donald N. Carlson, 49, Jonesport, operating while license suspended or revoked and unlawful use of license on May 3, found guilty on first charge, fined $250; second charge dismissed.

Treasa Every, 35, Mexico, protective order from harassment violation on Sept. 27, sent to jury trial.

Jesse R. Farrington, 23, Andover, assault, reckless conduct, failing to stop for an officer, operating while license suspended or revoked, and violating condition of release on July 27, found guilty on first, second and third charges, sentenced to nine months and one day for each charge; fourth and fifth charges dismissed; also charged with theft by unauthorized use of property and unlawful use of license on July 26, found guilty on first charge, sentenced to nine months and one day; second charge dismissed; and violating condition of release on Aug. 12 and Aug. 13, found guilty on both charges, sentenced to six months for each charge; and possession of marijuana on Sept. 20, dismissed; and possession of marijuana and sale and use of drug paraphernalia on Sept. 10, both charges dismissed.

Greg A. Fowler, 37, Roxbury, operating under the influence on June 2, found guilty, fined $500, sentenced to four days and license suspended 90 days.

David J. Gallant, 32, Mexico, assault on June 5, dismissed.

Robert W. Gallant, violating condition of release and possession of marijuana on May 24, first charge dismissed; offense committed on second charge, fined $350.

Adam C. Gammon, 42, Rumford, disorderly conduct on March 15, filed.

Matthew A. Gordon, 20, Old Orchard Beach, operating under the influence, with prior, and operating a vehicle without a license on June 10, found guilty on first charge, fined $700, sentenced to seven days and license suspended 18 months; second charge dismissed.

Matthew L. Harding, 28, Canton, criminal mischief and stalking on July 30, both charges dismissed.

Glen A. Knox, 22, Rumford, assault on July 7, dismissed.

Keith Kulig, 35, Rumford Point, unlawful use of license on Sept. 3, dismissed.

Tonia Lakin, 35, Berlin, N.H., assault on Sept. 30, 2006, found guilty, fined $300.

Jason D. Lapointe, 22, Mexico, unlawful possession of a scheduled drug on July 7, filed.

Sara L. Lyngholm, 32, Bethel, assault on June 24, dismissed.

Mitchell J. Lyons, 49, Boston, Mass., criminal speed on May 4, 2006, found not guilty.

Arthur M. Macisaac, 33, Lewiston, violating of protection order on Feb. 8, dismissed.

Shannon M. Merriam, 37, Mexico, protective order from harassment violation and violating condition of release on Aug. 11, both charges dismissed; also charged with assault, obstructing the report of a crime and violating condition of release on Aug. 23 and violating condition of release on Sept. 2, all charges dismissed.

Karen M. Merrill, 40, Mexico, operating while license suspended or revoked on May 30, dismissed.

Scott B. Nazaroff, 20, Mexico, possession of liquor by a minor on Feb. 13, offense committed, fined $400.

Heidi Owens, 18, Albany Township, filed.

Raymond S. Packard, 51, Mexico, operating under the influence on June 6, found guilty, fined $500 and license suspended 90 days.

Shaunna M. Paquette, 23, Biddeford, assault on July 28, dismissed.

Steven C. Patneaude, 49, Mexico, assault on July 22, 2006, dismissed.

Maxwell J. Popowicz, 35, South Duxbury, Vt., failing to present entire deer for registration, waived, fined $100.

Michael R. Robar, 59, Rumford, assault on June 19, 2006, dismissed.

Stephen Savage, 56, Saco, operating while license suspended or revoked and unlawful use of license on July 6, both charges dismissed.

Robert Trenholm, 60, South Easton, Mass., night hunting on Oct. 30, sent to jury trial.

Edward T. Vidito, 46, Rumford, obstructing government administration and criminal threatening on July 8, found guilty on first charge, fined $150; second charge dismissed.

Jimmy M. Wakefield, 33, Rumford, operating while license suspended or revoked on July 10, filed.

Michael C. Watrous, 31, Bryant Pond, operating under the influence on Oct. 20, sent to jury trial.
