WORCESTER, Mass. (AP) – A Spencer man working on a tire has been killed in an industrial accident in Worcester.

Police Sergeant Gary Quitadamo identified the victim as 59-year-old Paul Harding.

According to the Telegram & Gazette of Worcester, Harding died when a tire on a crane he was working on at Intransit Container blew off, sending him several feet into the air.

The accident happened around 9:45 Monday morning.

The Occupational Safety and Health Administration is investigating, and the company declined to comment.
