Ski lessons

RUMFORD – Kinder Klub lessons will be given to beginning skiers between the ages of 3 and 5 at Black Mountain of Maine. Private lessons with coaches Elaina, Beth and Jennifer will give skiers the confidence and skills necessary to ski with their peers by age 6.

Lessons will start Sunday, Jan. 20, and run an hour for five weeks. Cost of $125 includes a lift ticket for the child for the lesson day.

Three coaches will be available so siblings or friends can ski together and still receive the benefit of one-on-one coaching.

Antiques sale

WOODSTOCK – The Woodstock Historical Society Museum will offer some antiques for sale next summer.

Curator Larry Billings has supplied a mahogany chest to store items ranging from china to a birdhouse. All items will be priced at $30. The society will also offer an appraisal day and proceeds will benefit the society.
