ORONO, Maine (AP) – Marqus Blakely hit 7 of 9 shots in the second half and finished with 29 points as Vermont pulled away from Maine, 75-58, Wednesday night.

Vermont (8-9, 3-2 America East) led by 10 points in the first half, but Maine pulled ahead by two after intermission. Vermont followed with a 12-1 run that put the game away.

Brian Andre had 23 points and 10 rebounds for Maine (5-11, 1-2).

Blakely, who also had nine rebounds, had 16 points after intermission.

Vermont outshot Maine, 50 percent to 38 percent, and outrebounded the Black Bears, 38-29.
