MECHANIC FALLS – Tyrian Masonic Lodge 73 held its annual installation of officers on Dec. 29 at the Masonic building. Mark E. Stevens of Poland was installed as worshipful master and will lead the Lodge in the coming year.

The term “Worshipful” is an old English term meaning one being worthy of respect, and is given to the current and past masters of the lodge.

In addition, the following elected and appointed officers were also installed: senior warden, Wayne Cotterly; junior warden, Brian Carrier; treasurer, Jeffery Breton; secretary, Eugene Chandler; chaplain, Tom Nelson; marshal, Steven Verrill; senior deacon, Robert Smith; junior deacon, Joseph Lemm; senior steward, Basil M. Chadbourne Jr.; junior steward, Keith Bennett; tyler, Osmond Verrill; historian, John Merrill.

The installation ceremony was conducted by Kenneth Carlin as installing master, Timothy Stevens as installing marshal and Richard Bergeron as installing chaplain.
