RUMFORD – The Rumford Elks Lodge 862 will serve a meat pie supper from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 24, at the lodge dining room.
The menu will consist of meat pie, chicken pie, salmon pie with egg sauce, potatoes, vegetable and dessert and coffee. The cost is $6 a person and take-out will be available. Use the side entrance.
The proceeds will benefit Elks National Foundation, which helps with veterans program, drug awareness, scholarships, hoop shoots and soccer shoots programs.

PTO info night
RUMFORD – The Mountain Valley Middle School PTO will host an informational night for parents who want to learn about Power School at 6 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 24, at the middle school auditorium.
Topics will include how to gain parent access to a child’s grades, homework assignments, upcoming projects and more through the computer school’s Web site. Internet safety will also be covered.

Rabies clinic
ANDOVER – A rabies clinic will be held from 2 to 4 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 26, at the fire station. Rabies shots will be $12, cash only.
Clerk will be on hand to register dogs.
All neutered dogs are $6; all others, $11; kennels, $42. All dogs are to be registered by Jan. 31. After that, a late fee of $10 will be charged.
Library future
RUMFORD – “The Future of the Rumford Library” will be discussed at 4 p.m. Monday, Jan. 28, and 7 p.m. Monday, Feb. 4, at the Rumford Public Library.

4-H camps
PARIS – Summer activities for 4-H members will take place at Tanglewood 4-H Camp and Learning Center, which partners with the University of Maine.
The forest-based residential camp is situated on the Ducktrap River in the Camden Hills State Park, Lincolnville.
Blueberry Cove Camp, a marine-based camp, is located in Tenants Harbor and is an integral part of the Tanglewood experience. Blueberry Cove campers explore and learn about the seascape, which includes marine ecology, boating, water safety and sustainable living.
