Vehicles driven by Joseph N. Bordeau, 43, River Road, Mexico, and Eugene A. Michaud, 69, of Brook Road, Falmouth, collided at 9:40 a.m., Jan. 19, on Swift River Road. Bordeau’s 2003 Ford pickup truck had $1,000 damage. The Ford school bus driven by Michaud had $200 damage. The Falmouth school bus was empty, except for the driver, at the time.

A Jeep Wrangler, year unknown, driven by Aaron McPhee, 21, Plymouth Avenue, Rumford, escaped without damage when McPhee swerved to avoid a deer along Route 2 near the Gregory Inn and landed in a snowbank. The deer safely made it to the other side of the road. Sgt. Roy Hodsdon said deer/car collisions are most frequent near the inn and near Coulthard’s Pools and Spas, a few miles west of the inn, also along Route 2.
