Two men were arrested over the holiday weekend and charged with threatening women with knives.

Kerry Daniel Fenner, 19, of 7 Kitridge Brook Road in West Paris, and Robert Albert Woodward, 38, of 13 West Fryeburg Road in Fryeburg, were arrested in separate incidents. Both were released Tuesday on personal recognizance bail.

Fenner was arrested on Saturday after Deputy Joshua Wyman of the Oxford County Sheriff’s Office responded to the scene of an out-of-control subject. According to Wyman’s affidavit, a 46-year-old woman accused Fenner of pulling a knife on her after she hit him during an argument.

Wyman and Cpl. Justin Brown found two knives in the residence matching the woman’s description. Fenner denied threatening the woman and said she had attacked him with a bat. He was arrested and charged with Class C criminal threatening with a dangerous weapon.

Woodward was arrested on Monday on charges of Class C criminal threatening and Class D terrorizing. According to an affidavit by Cpl. Richard Murray of the Fryeburg Police Department, Woodward threatened his 57-year-old mother with a butcher knife.

Appearing before Justice Robert E. Crowley in Oxford County Superior Court on Tuesday, the $500 bail set for each man was reduced to a personal recognizance release. Both Fenner and Woodward may neither have contact with the victims nor possess dangerous weapons. In addition, Woodward may not possess alcohol or illegal drugs.
