FARMINGTON – Colonial Daughters Chapter, Daughters of the American Revolution, will celebrate its centennial anniversary year during 2008, having been chartered on June 25, 1908, by organizing Regent Lillian M. Paine.
The year will culminate with an open house from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, June 28, in the North Dining Hall, University of Maine at Farmington. Norma Spurling will present a vintage bridal style show at 2 p.m., featuring attire from around the time period when the chapter was chartered.
Other presentations will include a “100 Years of Colonial Daughters” slide show and “Memorial Centennial Hall 100 Years of History,” a video presentation produced by the National Society Daughters of the American Revolution.
