POLAND – The Gray-New Gloucester High School Patriots Grandstand Club is sponsoring the fifth-annual Fishing Derby and Learn to Fish Day on Saturday, Feb. 9 at Middle and Upper Range Ponds.

The derby will begin a half-hour before sunrise and end at 3:30 p.m., with weigh-in until 3:45.

Register at The Flying Lobster in Poland or the boat ramp at Upper Range Pond, or get your advance tickets at Dag’s Bait Shop, Mooney’s Bait Shop, Allen’s Store, Stone’s Pet Supply and Poland Store & Grill. Registration fees are $10 per Adult, $5 for 12-and-under, or $20 per family. Prizes to be awarded in the adult division are $500 for first Place, $250 for second and $150 for third.

The under-12 division will be awarded gift certificates: First place, $75; Second, $50; Third, $25.

Proceeds will benefit G-NG Patriots Football, The Make-A-Wish Foundation of Maine and Hooked on Fishing Not Drugs. Storm date is Feb. 10.
